Von's has an amazing selection of beads; I've never seen or heard of a better one.
Von's has several shops connected together: books, beads, stones, used books, stuffed animals, cards/gifts, comic books, and music.
Von's has always been the goto local shop for unique gifts, jewelry and books and they also have a great selection of vinyl records. For years I have been a happy customer and look forward to continuing to do business with Von's. Long live local!
Record selection here has been drastically reduced in size, and therefore is poor and generic.
Great place to buy new releases and brand new copies of all sorts of music (on vinyl and CD). Good collection of posters and other accessories too. I would give this 5 stars if they had old/used records from an even greater variety and if they had a greater variety of albums in general. Overall, it is a very good record store and is in a great location.
If you're looking for beads, this is the place to go. There's a large table of loose beads, pendants, and supplies, but it's dwarfed by the strung beads. The back wall of the shop is covered with strings of glass beads (there's a lot of Czech glass, especially) of all colors, sorted by colors. The tops of the walls in 2 large rooms and 2 small rooms have the other beads. Porcelein, stone, semi-precious stone, mother of pearl, bone, coral, and more. It's organized by type, and they've got everything from amber to garnet to turquoise magnesite.
This is where you go to buy music, yo. Like all the music you think nobody else likes but you. They've got it. And they've also got one of the most wide-ranging DVD rental services ever. It's like having Paste Magazine in the flesh.
