I lived there for four years. This residence hall is not fancy (one bathroom per floor, no A/C) but the community is excellent. I made countless friends over my time there, many that I intend to keep for a lifetime.
No air conditioning, one bathroom each floor
Out of all the dorms at Purdue, Tarkington has the best community. Everyone leaves their doors open and you can pretty much walk right into any room and say hello.
The rooms are pretty nice and even though theres no air conditioning its not that bad. Its only hot for a a few weeks at the start and end of the school year. The lobby is really nice to study in, Sometimes there will be someone to play the piano in the lobby. That makes the studying experience pretty fun.
One of the better dorms on campus and it's nice that they have a computer lab and printers and the front desk will scan papers for you and send them to your email.
We are all Tark Bros! Has the feeling of a frat without the B.S.! My hall is very open and accepting too.
