Its a good price but you get what you pay for. The staff seemed pretty nice and friendly. They got me in and out in about 5 minutes. My haircut wasn't really complicated so I don’t know how well they do with other types of hair or styles but they did fine for me. This place is good for really simple kinds of haircuts and people who don’t care too much about their hair.
Friendly staff. They cut my hair a little shorter than I wanted but it looks great! This Great Clips is a lot better than the one in Meijer.
I used to go to a local place for haircuts but since I got married I thought I'd go with my husband and save some money too...not worth it, especially if you have curly hair. They don't know how to handle it. They've consistently messed it up the last couple of times I've been there. This time was the last straw. Instead of taking off my split ends, the stylist probably gave me more while trying to comb my hair that hadn't been adequately moistened because guess what? Thick, curly hair needs more than a few spritzes without any sectioning!!! My scalp is burning right now because of the way she combed my hair and to say that the haircut is subpar is an understatement. The stylist actually smirked at the end product and said "it'll look nice if you straighten it". So basically people with curly hair should just stay away from this place. I'm never going back there again.
I wish there was a choice of no stars, because that's what I would give this place. I went in there, telling the lady I just wanted my ends evened out and to just take off the split ends. She asked me how much, so I said not even an inch. She starts cutting, and AFTER she gets a huge chunk and cuts it, she holds it up for me to see and asks "is this good?" Uh, lady... kinda too late for a question like that. But to answer your question, NO IT WAS NOT GOOD. I told this lady I was trying to grow my hair out even longer than what it was, and instead of taking barely an inch off my hair, she literally took 4! It took me years to grow my hair so long and it's all gone now because of her. And after the cut was "finished," I look in the mirror and it's not even evened!! One side was shorter than the other, and the back was all over the place! I will NEVER be back, and I made sure to tell everyone on my social media to never come here either. I don't even understand how this place is still in business.
14 dollars for a men's trim with no wash or styling. It took 10 minutes. That at best was a $7 haircut. Its a Great Clips not a salon or a private barber shop for crying out loud. I've used Great Clips for years in other states and have never been charged over $8.00. It was a mediocre hair cut at best at a salon price. No wonder 2 of the local stores are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesday. Great Clips, if you make the hair cuts cost that same as their value, $6-8 (for a 6-8 dollar hair cut), you will be busier than you can imagine. You're going to kill your stores with that pricing I'm afraid. Its Lafayette, not Chicago. I'll never return to the franchise because of this.
