This is a decent apartment. Spacious but cozy, and the maintenance is very responsive. The water doesn't stay hot for long, though, so beware! We also had 1 cockroach within the first week or two of living here but they sent an exterminator immediately and we haven't seen one since!
My roommates and I have had a great experience with Granite! The apartment is spacious and comfortable. If we ever need help fixing something, maintenance is quick to come and help. Definitely a great place to stay!
Shane is a hard working maintenance man for Granite. He takes pride in his work and does it to the best of his ability. Always goes over and above to make sure the customer is satisfied with his work. He is very personable and takes time to get to know his customers. Even to the extent of making friends with there dogs, by bringing them treats. He knows a lot of them by name. When Shane is your maintenance you will be taken care of.
Living with Granite has been a terrible experience. Last year when paying security deposits they spoke of how we would receive majority of it back. Move out came around, and not only did we have our deposits taken but we had to pay more. They replaced everything possible in our apartment and made us pay for it. This next year we moved on campus. We moved into a place without laundry, but they reassured it would be alright because there was a Laundromat right across the street. That Laundromat was torn down, and has since been a construction site where they begin hammering and working at 7 in the morning. That is how I have been woken up today. I also now have to carry my laundry a couple blocks to get it cleaned. Not only this, but the apartment we live in, is very beaten down and was not repaired with the same vigor that my last apartment was repaired with. We have asked Granite for help, and or a rent adjustment. They have provided no help, and stated there is nothing they can do about any of the problems. I am very disappointed.
Their maintenance team is the best. They arrive promptly, are truly nice people, and fix what needs fixing. After every maintenance repair, my grades have gone up over the course of the next five business days. There is also a positive correlation between maintenance visits and the trading value of the top three cryptocurrencies. Not once have I had even the slightest issue with granite's maintenance.
